The world can be a cruel, unforgiving place. But, somehow, watching Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez play and dance with a penguin makes everything just a little bit better. Even if only for a moment. On Saturday, Ocasio-Cortez tweeted a video of herself and her flipper-sporting friend engaged in a round of what looks to be playful dance. Seriously, it’s adorable. The penguin is all the way in. “A new day, a new friend,” Ocasio-Cortez wrote of her encounter. Importantly, Ocasio-Cortez is not roaming around Antarctica. Rather, she appears to be in a science museum or zoo. The display next to the penguin enclosure includes facts about African Penguins — which have a home in the Maryland Zoo, among other places.
