The U.S. Open says it regrets warning a female tennis player for taking off her shirt

Sometimes, a good public outcry is all you need. After female tennis player Alizé Cornet briefly removed her shirt while changing on the court of the U.S. Open on Wednesday, the umpire issued her a warning — and immediately incited outrage. Fans complained that similar warnings had not been issued to male tennis players. On Wednesday, the U.S. Open actually responded to complaints and issued a public apology.
