'Crazy Rich Asians' is getting its sequel – and it's great news for one fan-favorite character

Chu's Crazy Rich Asians has sealed the deal and development is moving forward on a sequel. This is no ordinary followup in our Age of Sequels; the second film will be based once again on author Kevin Kwan's work, this time on the actual Crazy Rich Asians sequel, China Rich Girlfriend. “We have a plan with Kevin for the next two films,” producer Brad Simpson told the Hollywood Reporter, also referring to the final piece of the trilogy, Rich People Problems.
