A lot of unexpected things have changed since Trump took office. But one of the oddest evolutions has been the mutation of the conspiracy theory. The corners of the internet where conspiracies flourish have always contained a weird mix of light and dark. They were places where one could laugh at some of the far out ideas ("the moon landing was faked") or be completely horrified ("the Sandy Hook shooting was faked").
