A #dog channel is a must-have for many companies using communication app Slack. But for the Slack's internal communications manager Jared Schwartz, a place to upload dog photos wasn't enough. He needed somewhere his dog Oliver would get even more attention. Enter the #doodles channel, which joined the thousands of other Slack channels that more than 1,000 employees can navigate if they so choose. "We use Slack at a little bigger [scale] than most places. It may seem a little overwhelming at first, but we do it in a way that’s thoughtful," Schwartz told Mashable.
